Brad was born at University College Hospital, London. His father was a chancer from Hoxton in London's East End. His mother was a ballerina and hairdresser of Jewish-Italian descent from Hackney. They lived in many different areas of North and East London and, during a period living in Stamford Hill, lived next door to Pauline Quirke (from the BBC's Birds of a Feather) who introduced Brad to acting. The family then moved out to Hertfordshire when Brad was nine. At nine he started boxing for Ware Boys' Club and had several amateur bouts. However, despite his trainer's attempts to keep him in the gym, he was always drawn to the attractions of the street. He attended Chauncy secondary school and studied art at Shepallbury College in Stevenage. When he was 21, his parents separated and Brad moved to Nice in the south of France for two years where he made a living washing-up in a restaurant and fronting a local band. In his 20s and 30s he lived in many different countries where he built several of his own companies including a magazine publishing company, a financial consultancy and a stock brokerage. Moving away from traditional business in 2009, he enrolled in two of London's post-graduate acting schools, training during the day and performing 'stand up' comedy at night on the London circuit for two years. This culminated with his own Edinburgh Fringe show that was filmed by Channel 4. Since then he has performed in fourteen short films and five feature films including Mercenaries alongside Billy Zane (Titanic), Best Laid Plans alongside Stephen Graham (This is England, Snatch, Boardwalk Empire) and Up There with Burn Gorman (Layer Cake, Torchwood). Brad is also the co-founder of MoliFilms Ltd., a film finance and production company he runs with his business-partner Mark Foligno, former Managing Director of Molinare and Executive Producer of the award winning film The King's Speech.
